Hi All,

Much to my delight Point no Point was quite busy this morning. Greeted
by a flock of 75 + Cedar Waxwings as I pulled into the parking area at
6:45, I knew this was not going to be a quick stop and then rush back to
work kind of morning. Here are some of my highlights and tallies for my
2+ hours at Point no Point:

Olive-sided Flycatcher - 1
Willow Flycatcher - 2
WESTERN KINGBIRD - 9!
CEDAR WAXWING - 970!
Yellow Warbler - 15
Yellow-rumped Warbler - 3 but one was a MYRTLE ( late!)
LAZULI BUNTING - 1 female (not sure if Kitsap has a previous summer record)
YELLOW-HEADED BLACKBIRD - 2 females

Migrants were basically non-existent in two of my previous visits to
Point no Point in the last few weeks so to have so much activity was a
pleasant surprise. I know I have seen good movements of Cedar Waxwings
in previous years but not this many and usually in mid to late May.

Cheers and good birding,
Brad Waggoner
