I volunteer at the Seattle Audubon office, and yesterday a birder named
Amanda who was in the shop reported that she is pretty sure she saw a
White-tailed Kite on Canyon Road outside of Ellensburg. We both know
that there are no documented reports of this species anywhere near
Ellensburg, but her description of the bird and its behavior, and her
elimination of other possibilities, was good enough that I thought it
was worth reporting to Tweeters.

Amanda would like to share the details of this sighting and hear what
other birders think about it. She is not a Tweeters subscriber, so
