Tonight Jim Danzenbaker and I went out to the refuge to look for western Kingbirds and at 5:20 pm had a male great-tailed grackle fly over us. It was heading toward the southern end of the Kiowa Trail and River S Loop.

We did see 4 western kingbirds all on Bachelor Island. The invasion continues.
