I spent several hours birding around Discovery Park this morning
and the highlight was seeing BLACK SWIFTS flying overhead at the NW
corner of the South Meadow. I only counted four birds but there were
probably a few more that I missed seeing, as they were quite low at
first and moving very fast toward the east. A few additonal birds
seen today at the park included:
Western Tanager
Pigeon Guillemot
Yellow Warbler
Orange-crowned Warbler
Cedar Waxwing
Swainson's Thrush - heard calling
Anna's & Rufous Hummingbirds
Pileated Woodpecker
Warbling Vireo
Pacific-slope Flycatcher
Cheers and Good Birding;
