Hi Tweets:
There is a lot of water down in Kent and Auburn, and the Green River looks like it is about 3/4 full. This afternoon, after the rains let up I went down to the south viewing tower at Kent Ponds. I immediately heard a LAZULI BUNTING singing and acting like the viewing tower is his personal property. There is a large bush-tree willow next to the tower and he flew into that and sang a number of times, especially when someone was near or on the viewing tower.
Quite a few Willow Flycatchers were singing in the field. At the corner by the gate to the south tower, there was the usual perched up and active male Rufous Hummingbird. About 200 ft. away from him, another Rufous was perched up right near the fence.
I drove south to M Street in front of Emerald Downs in Auburn and both seasonal ponds there are full. It looks like November, except it's warm out. There were 2 or 3 LAZULI BUNTINGS singing at the Muckleshoot barns. I saw one of them perched up on blackberries, and one on a post singing loudly.
