Tweeters,
Today Sidra Blake, Leon and Darlene Hicks, and I found a pair of Western Kingbirds at Scatter Creek Wildlife Area. They are hanging out on a fence that runs west-south-west of the main parking area at the north unit. I suspect they are breeding given their behavior. We were mostly focused on the butterflies but also found 2 Savannah Sparrow nests, heard one Vesper Sparrow, and had a couple singing Western Meadowlarks.
Cheers,
Tyler
