Hello all,
Just arrived home from 650 mile weekend scouting for WOS Conf. Heavy rain until 1:30 today.
A Willet was right beside the road at Atkins lake this morning at 11:30 am. Brad - we missed you and the Bell's Vireo by 1 mile!
Also at Atkins:
Wilson's Phalarope - 3 birds
American Avocet - 1 pair

Jameson Lake:
Red-necked Grebe - 1 pair - nesting
Barrow's Goldeneye - 4 females
Franklin's Gull - 1 bird
Good assortment of breeding waterfowl -

Mansfield Cemetery:
Western Tanagers - 3
Western Wood-Pewee - 1
Prairie Falcon - 1
Brewer's Sparrows - singing all around.

All the expected shrub-steppe species were heard and seen including Grasshopper Sparrows. No Sage Grouse.
Looking forward to next weekend - M&M
