On Saturday 6/5, Sherry and I hiked Swale Creek Canyon, which is a portion of the Klickitat Trail. We went about 5 miles, in before heading back. The trail started off in open farmland and then slowly came into the pines. The beginning portion of the creek was dammed up by beavers, creating small ponds and wetlands. We had a lot of birds and other wildlife in the canyon, and I will put a complete list at the end for just Swale Canyon for those that are interested. On our way to the trailhead we counted 8 TURKEYS along Centerville Hwy. Some of our canyon highlights include;

BALD EAGLE - 1
TURKEY VULTURE - 8
SPOTTED SANDPIPER - 1
VAUX'S SWIFT
ASH-THROATED FLYCATCHER - 2
WILLOW FLYCATCHER - 2
