I wanted to let people know a couple of updates about the upcoming WOS conference in Wenatchee. Most are on Tweeters, if you know somebody that would like to know this info and isn't on tweets, forward it to them please.

1. A reminder to pay your driver for the field trips as WOS isn't covering mileage any longer (same as it was at Kelso).
2. The Saturday night talk-Ken Bevis will start at 7:30. This is a slight change from the original conference announcement of 7:00. There will be two special awards presentations (A lifetime membership award to Dennis Paulson and the first ever Patrick Sullivan Young Birders Fund award) that will happen from 7:00-7:30.
3, There will be a new WOS T-shirt available at the conference. The image is a stunning art work of a White-headed woodpecker by Heather Murphy a local artist and wildlife biologist. They will be available in men's and women's T-shirts of various sizes for 18.00 at the registration desk.

Dan Stephens and I are trying to use up all of our good Karma to convince the weather to behave for the weekend. We shall see how much actual pull we have over such...

See everyone this weekend. By the latest count, registration is around 140 people, so its sure to be a busy hopping place this weekend!
