Heard and saw a Western Wood Pewee on my street (north of Matthews
Beach) starting yesterday. Such a distinctive call and top'o'tree
flycatcher behavior. It's "Pee-wee" rang out loud and clear, both
yesterday late afternoon/early evening and this morning from about 10
to noon. Yesterday I saw the bird operating from a lookout perch in a
tall conifer across the street. Today I have only heard the bird out
in my yard from inside my house (single-pane glass is good for hearing
bird sounds!).

Anyone else hearing/seeing any Pewees? I don't recall having either
seen or heard them around her for several years or more...

This sure brightens my day!
