We usually have at least one calling in my neighborhood each year, and just
today I heard one move from the Sahalee golf course neighborhood/area to
some point west toward Lake Sammamish in Timberline Ridge. Not sure if he
reacted to me trying to whistle back to call him closer (I can't imagine my
imitation was both convincing and loud enough). I guess it's possible there
was another calling back, but I never heard it from two directions.
