Hi Tweets,



Had the male American Redstart today at the same location seen earlier
this season and last season - still seems to be working around that
general area. Other highlights were Red-eyed Vireos (decent scattering
of them), Western Tanagers (a couple), Bullock's Orioles (couple pairs
or so), and many of the other species generally seen there - busy doing
their thing. The back field adjacent to the no name creek that the
redstart haunts is pretty flooded - so heads-up if you make your way out
there. Great looks at wood ducks and mallards making use of the flooded
area and nearby flooded cottonwood/willow stands though. A muskrat on
the central main pond was busy chowing on cattails and some little
salmon fry were hanging near the bridge in the slow waters up Harris
Creek, near the little oxbow pond. Great to finally have some of this
sun, eh ;)
