Hi Tweeters,
Sorry for the extreme delay but my hectic, work load and schedule has prohibited me to post promptly. I had two fantastic, birding trips on May 28-May 30th and June 4-6th. My clients had some tough target birds to seek, but I luckily managed to find all of them and a few surprises. An unusually late wet, cold spring so birding at times was frustrating.
However, we had to work to get 189 species including 9 species of owls, 11 species of woodpeckers, 11 gallineous species, and 11 species of flycatchers. We also had one BLACK and WHITE WARBLER near Conner's Lake near Conconully.
Highlights included 3 excellent visuals of FLAMMULATED OWL, wingclap display of SPRUCE GROUSE, 200 WESTERN TANAGERS sallying for insects along the Tieton River, and BURROWING, LONG EARED, AND GREAT GRAY OWLETS.
It was exhausting but a fun trip filled with adrenlin and surprises.
