I had my maiden voyage to the Kent Ponds Sunday morning and was immediately rewarded with the call of a SWAINSON'S THRUSH and masses of CEDAR WAXWINGS (at the eastern entrance). The waxwings were particularly numerous, active and pugnacious, as can be seen in this pics:

I had a quick view of a male LAZULI BUNTING along the southern trail, until it was chased off by a waxwing.
Other sightings include about 6-8 KILDEER; YELLOWTHROAT; SAVANNAH'S SPARROWS (including a flightless chick); and a juvie BALD EAGLE successfully dislodged from its snag by a lone crow:
