Today, Susan and I headed up the Columbia River to Klickitat County seeking a little sunshine. We found some warmth along with strong winds in the eastern Gorge, our best bird of the day was a breeding plumaged GREATER YELLOWLEGS. This bird was perched on a floating log in front of the boat launch at the Wind River and is only he fifth individual I have seen in Skamania County in the last thirty years.
