Got a shot of sun in the Carlton/Twisp/Winthrop area last weekend, and some
good birding in as well: black swift, Clark's nutcracker, kestrel, ospreys,
common nighthawk, calliope hummers, Western kingbirds, hairy woodpecker and
Western tanager to name a few. Highlight was a very photogenic male blue
grouse at Sun Mountain in full display mode.
