I saw an Eurasian Collard Dove today at Theler Wetlands for the first
time ever. This particular bird was feeding along the sand/mud along
the Union river at low tide. At one point it walked a few inches into
the water, took a drink, then walked back towards shore.

One other oddity was a group of a Starling, three adult male Cowbirds,
and a brown bird I think is a juvenile Cowbird. They seemed to be a
unit -- sitting together on the rail of the walkway, then flying off
together and landing together. I was wondering if perhaps the Starling
had raised the juvenile?

Other birds of interest: Cedar Waxwings, Willow Flycatchers, Common
Yellowthroats, Marsh Wrens, and Belted Kingfishers. For the first time
ever I didn't see a Great Blue Heron.
