Hi Tweeters,
This morning (6/23/10) I easily found the singing YELLOW-BREASTED CHAT on
Brooks Slough Rd., at the 1st curve south of SR4 as posted by Marv Breece.
It's preferred perches were the telephone wire and some bare branches a
little farther from the road. On Beaver Creek Rd. between MP 5.8 and 6.0
there were 2 singing HERMIT WARBLERS, and right at MP 6 on the edge of the
downslope clearcut was a pair of HOUSE WRENS. A bit farther east I had a
flock of 8 GRAY JAYS cross the road. Now that I have directions from Marv,
I'll try for the Golden-crowned Sparrow and Western Bluebird in the morning.
A really nice morning-thanks Marv for the post.
