Hi All,

I will be venturing down through Washington in July, and am undecided on which way to go. I was hoping someone may be able to advise on road conditions.

As Hal Opperman's guide mentions little in the way of birding along Hwy 97, I am thinking about going through Conconully either to Baldy Pass, Winthrop, Loup Loup, and then back to 97 before doing Cameron Lake Rd and Wilson Creek, or just going straight down from Conconully to Loup Loup Pass, then to 97. How are these roads? We will be driving a sturdy passenger vehicle (Matrix).

Thank you,
