Hi Tweeters,

My wife and I sent nine days in Southeast Arizona visiting many of the
famous birding areas I have been hearing about for years and then went to
Puerto Pe?asco, Mexico, for two nights.

Photos from the Arizona part of the trip are in the first folder on my
website titled, appropriately, Southeast Arizona June 2010.

I added 23 birds to my life list and saw four or five others that I had not
seen before in the United States. In Mexico, I added five other new
species.

The highlights were actually a few species I had seen before. We took a
hike and saw two Mexican Spotted Owls (a different subspecies that the
Spotted Owls in our forests), and, while trying to get photos of an Elegant
Trogon, I flushed a Whip-poor-will. The Whip-poor-will posed for photos as
no other bird has (except maybe a Spotted Owl). It was a thrill! I did
finally get photos of an Elegant Trogon, too.

I even found two lifers at the famous Patagonia Rest Stop - Lucy's Warbler
and Thick-billed Kingbird.

I saw nine species of hummingbirds, and six new species of flycatchers.

I hopefully will get the Mexico photos on my website soon.

I hope you enjoy the photos.
