Dear Tweeters Friends,

It is hard for me to tell you that our wonderful mentor and friend Thais Bock passed away Feb 25th. I have been in close contact with Thais and her family over the past couple of weeks and needless to say it has not been a happy journey. Adele Freeland, Federal Way WA - maamfree at comcast.net

A beautiful tribute article for Thais in the Federal Way Mirror http://www.pnwlocalnews.com:80/south_king/fwm/community/85914522.html

Thais family is having private remembrances of her at this time. Plans for a public memorial for our dear Thais Bock will be postponed until later this spring or summer. Several ideas are in the works. I'll keep you posted.

Subject: Thais Memorial - a Different Form than First Thought

Dear Friends:

Despite a shared wish and need among many people, it is not going to be possible to hold a Memorial Celebration for Thais at this time.

Be assured Thais will have a memorial. We are exploring ways and means of setting up a non-profit that will take donations for a fund that will eventually purchase land for a Thais Bock Memorial Park. This she would be behind 100%. The land will be in the Federal Way ? Dumas Bay area which she loved so much.

Mark is beginning to set up a website where information on her life and this project will be available at thaisbock.com.

Thanks to all of you for your cards and phone calls and visits. All that caring made her last days at Avalon so much better for her. She truly knew she was loved and appreciated.
