Greeting to all,

Thank you for the comments one my observation. This pair were adding branches and material during December and January. February was quiet with a lot of sitting in and around the nest while chasing off last years young. There is no way to look down into the bowl so I pay keen attention to the edge to see if any thing comes above the edge. The larger of the pair may very well just be fusing over where to put the next stick! Her head was moving in and out of the bowl slowly and with great care.
I went back yesterday afternoon and both pair are now bring more material to the nest and the smaller of the two is jumping out of the way. I guess the warm weather is just getting them int he mood to spruce it up.

Below are links to three photos I took two years ago of the same pair in the month of June. An eaglet's head is visible but the bowl of the nest is deep. The eaglet in the picture and it's sibling fledged out about five weeks later.

Again, thanks to all. I truly enjoy this service and learn a great deal. Keep it up!
