hi group ... Gene and I were there about the noon hour ... I'm
assuming it might have been Russ and Anne (see their email) who
pointed us in the direction of the Tufted Duck (THANKS) ... we
initially parked at the boat launch ... the floating flock was on the
Hwy 14 side of the lake about half way between the boat launch and
the junction of Hwy 14 and the hatchery road ... we just left the car
parked at the boat launch and walked Hwy 14 for best views ... for
the most part there is room to walk the highway with the guard rail
between you and traffic ...

note, there also was a female Common Goldeneye in the group of Scaups
with the Tufted guy ...
