Hello, this is the Audubon Society of Portland Rare Bird Report. This report
was made Thursday March 18. If you have anything to add call Harry Nehls at
503-233-3976.

On March 17 a YELLOW-BELLIED SAPSUCKER was reported from Gresham. The Gaston
HOODED ORIOLE and the Drano Lake TUFTED DUCK continue to be seen. A CATTLE
EGRET was photographed in Portland during the week. There are no other
details.

A major VIOLET-GREEN SWALLOW movement arrived during the week. ALLEN?S
HUMMINGBIRDS are now being seen in Curry County. BROWN PELICANS are still
being seen along the coast. Migrant OSPREY are now arriving along the
Columbia River.

On March 14 a dark GYRFALCON was at the South Jetty of the Siuslaw River. A
large white GLAUCOUS GULL was at Tierra del Mar March 15.

On March 10 a RED-NAPED SAPSUCKER was at Clark College in Vancouver. Two
GOLDEN EAGLES were over Ridgefield NWR March 13. Two WRENTITS are now being
seen in the brush on the west bank of the Sandy River near the Troutdale
Airport.
