Tweets - I had a couple of hours to kill before driving to the airport to
pick up my wife, so I birded Marymoor Park from about 10:00 to noon.

Just about the first bird I saw was a TOWNSEND'S SOLITAIRE near the kiosk at
the Interpretive Lot. I was working its way down the fence between the East
Meadow and the Dog Area. This is just the 2nd time we've ever had TOSO at
Marymoor, the other time being MARCH 19, 1998! Same freaking date, give or
take a dozen years...

I also had the first SAVANNAH SPARROWS of the year, in the East Meadow, and
got to see two male RUFOUS HUMMINGBIRDS.

I also believe I saw a BROWN CREEPER taking food to a nest, near the west
end of the boardwalk. I'll have to check on the spot again and see if there
is any more activity there. It's right near the spot where the year's first
BUSHTIT nest was built. We haven't seen activity at that nest since it was
built. Today, I saw a pair of Bushtits visit the nest, but they appeared to
be, essentially, mining it for parts. They arrived empty-beaked, and left
with big wads of material that they had picked off of the nest.

There was a NORTHERN SHRIKE in the East Meadow, but not singing today. And
no swallows except for TREE SWALLOW still.
