My birding class topic on Friday was hawks and falcons. So on my way to my
field class I saw, in Monroe of all places, a Peregrine fly over my car and
land on a pole, A kestrel perched on a wire, and a nice look at a Merlin in
the parking area of Lord Hill park, all within 10 minutes of each other. I
think I will teach owls next week so maybe the famous Renton Burrowing owl
will show up in Monroe!
