I had not been to the Nisqually NWR in quite some time so I decided
to spend a good part of the day there birding. I saw a few good birds
but the highlight had to be a pair of SANDHILL CRANES which circled
overhead a couple of times while I was birding along the riverside
boardwalk. Also, had a NORTHERN SHRIKE that was observed from the
dike, and a PEREGRINE FALCON that was perched in a tree near the twin
barns. I had a total of 48 species and a few of the birds seen
included:

Greater White-fronted Goose
American Kestrel
Peregrine Falcon
SANDHILL CRANE
Great Horned Owl
Rufous Hummingbird
Northern Shrike
Tree Swallow
Lincoln's Sparrow

Cheers and Good Birding;
