Sherry and I went snowshoeing up at Paradise Mt. Rainier today. We hiked up towards Panorama Pt. but never made all the way up. The weather was great, sunny and little wind. We walked along the trees for the most part looking for bird and animals. We had;

Evening Grosbeak - 35+ (large flock in the trees)
Mountain Chickadee - 2 heard
Red-breasted Nuthatch - 1 heard
Townsend's Solitaire - 1
Gray Jay - 5
Steller's Jay - 2
Raven - 2
Dark-eyed Junco - 6
Pine Siskin - 12

No animals, but we saw Snowshoe Hare tracks in the snow.
On a butterfly note, we had 2 crescents (Mylitta Crescent ??) at the Kautz Creek.
