Subject: [Tweeters] Rusty Blackbird at Monroe

Hi,

Marv Breece and I found a Rusty Blackbird along Tualco Loop Road - near Monro yeasterday at about 7:30 am. It was in a large flock of blackbirds by the farm on the north section of the road.

It was moulting into adult adult plumage and showed rusty marking, particularly on the back, but not on the head.

We watched the bird for some time and Marv took a lot of photos.

Cheers and good birding

Steve
