Today I explored King Road. This road connects Curtis and Winlock and winds through the forested hills that separates the two towns. I started on the Curtis side (Boistfort Rd.), took King Road, passing farms with ponds, forest, up to clear cuts, and back down the other side to Winlock. I only encountered 18 bird species and 1 butterfly (Spring Azure), but in the late spring when the warblers and flycatchers are back. This road looks like it could be quite productive. Listed below are the species seen along King Road.
I also had 1 COOPER'S HAWK at Pleasant Valley Rd. and Twin Oakes Rd.

1 American Wigeon
4 Mallard
1 Bufflehead
4 Bald Eagle
2 Red-tailed Hawk
1 Northern Pygmy-Owl
1 Red-breasted Sapsucker
4 Northern Flicker
3 Common Raven
2 Chestnut-backed Chickadee
1 Bewick's Wren
14 Winter Wren
5 American Robin
2 Varied Thrush
1 Spotted Towhee
1 Song Sparrow
10 Dark-eyed Junco
1 Red Crossbill
