I just got back from the Edmonds marsh, where?two pairs of great blue herons?and a lone heron?were occupying nests in the rookery?.?? I wonder how successful their efforts at raising young will be given the fact that at least four adult and three juvenile bald eagles appear to?be making their home in Edmonds with the marsh in their patrol territory.??? I saw??three adults hanging out this morning respectively at the tallest tree on the fish hatchery grounds, the tall tree at the top of PIne Street, and the top of the mast of the Avatar at the marina.??? The two trees provided good views of the marsh and rookery.

We also saw a snipe in rather plain view from the western viewing platform at?the marsh.
