Hello, this is the Audubon Society of Portland Rare Bird Report. This report
was made Thursday March 25. If you have anything to add call Harry Nehls at

The Gaston HOODED ORIOLE continues to be seen.

The first movements of YELLOW-RUMPED and ORANGE-CROWNED WARBLERS are now
arriving. BROWN PELICANS continue along the coast. Migrant WHITE-FRONTED
GEESE are now being reported.

The wintering NORTHERN SHRIKE at Ridgefield NWR was still being seen during
the week. On March 24 a SAY?S PHOEBE was on Sauvie Island. The WRENTITS are
still being seen near the Troutdale Airport. On March 23 a ROSS?S GOOSE was
at Ankeny NWR. The wintering flock of WHITE-FRONTED GEESE were still there
March 22. The EMPEROR GOOSE near Glide continues to be seen.

The first WHITE-CROWNED SPARROWS reached Sisters March 20. A PURPLE FINCH
was near Bend March 21. On March 24 a EURASIAN GREEN-WINGED TEAL, a EURASIAN
WIGEON, six ROSS?S GEESE, and 750 WHITE-FRONTED GEESE were at Houston Lake
west of Prineville.
