What affects one may affect all, or others. Since HOSP are common and easy
to observe, declines there may be noticed first, later showing up in less
common, less abundance, less visible species. I'd shed no tears for the
loss of an invasive species, but I think it would be prudent at least to
wonder why and if that cause might be affecting other species, and maybe
ultimately, our own.
