Hi, Tweets

I guess it pays to stay home more than I usually do. I throw peanuts out in our backyard for the crows and jays. Often, the crows will come down in a nearby tree and "caw" which I take it to mean there aren't any peanuts in the yard. This morning one began cawing and as I went out (with peanuts, of course) 2-4 more crows began the racket, too. It could only mean: owl. I have barred owls nesting nearby and evidently the cawing was for the owl. As I looked in a big cedar a crow took off in flight with an owl close behind and the other crows close behind the owl. I watched them thread their way through the forest in back, but didn't know the outcome. I have never, ever seen an owl chasing a crow. It was a neat flight!

Cheers, Diann
