At precisely 5:00 p.m. today I first spotted my FOY Rufous, a female,
checking out the nesting material right outside my office window... She
quickly decided nest building was not on her mind in this wet weather and
quickly went around the house to the front where she sipped on some nectar.



I will likely be a few weeks before I get some consistent activity but many
of you have stopped by to see the activity that is rampant around my house.
I will update on tweeters when activity picks up.



I will be doing a couple of upcoming presentations on "How to Attract
Hummingbirds".



The first is on April 5th at the Seattle Garden Club Meeting.



The second, which is open to the public, is on April 8th, 7:00 p.m. at the
King County Library Mountaineers. For additional information, please
