Greetings
Reading about the Great Blue Heron and the Bullfrog reminded me of the Heron at the Chambers Creek Dam that I photographed twice in one week pulling big salmon out of the rushing water. It had no trouble at all wrestling the salmon in to position and swallowing it effortlessly. Of course salmon are a bit more streamlined the a Bull Frog but I think a frog would be easier to grab!

While I Florida Last year I saw this Heron kill a Puffer Fish and then fly off with it. I do not know if the heron swallowed it. That would have been worth seeing!!

Herons are amazing in the diversity of their food selection. I have also seen them fish for hours catching the tiniest of fish.
Take care
