I've created monsters. Apparently, the current seed mix is enjoyed by my
chickadees and nuthatches, mostly one at a time, but it is simply addicting
to siskins. It's fascinating to watch the hierarchy around the feeder when
the siskins swoop en masse. As long as they are around, only house finches
stand a chance of getting to the larder...

The chickadees (both chestnuts and black-caps) seem patient enough; the
nuthatches, however, look like they would plan insurrection if they only had
sharp talons or opposable thumbs.
