While birding in Eastern Washington over the weekend I observed a
FERRUGINOUS HAWK near the town of Wilson Creek. The hawk was first
seen perched on a cliff along Kanniwai Road (about 1 mile east of
WIlson Creek), then soared around the area for while. Earlier on
Saturday morning I stopped by the Leahy Lek sight (where the tour
group was already set up) and had great looks at the GREATER
SAGE-GROUSE. It was great to see so many of them (at least 30) in one
spot. Also, had three SAGE THRASHERS over the weekend - two of them
along the road near the Leahy Lek sight.

Cheers and Good Birding;
