Hello Tweets,

I headed over to the Bonneville Dam to check out the bird thought to
possibly be a wagtail. There is a pair of Western kingbirds right
where the bird was listed as being seen. Probably a mating pair. The
behavior was the same--flying from the grass to the fence and back
down to the grass. Gray on top, long tail with white edges. I would
venture to say that's what was seen. But it sure would have been
exciting to see a wagtail.

Also seen while driving down Hwy 14 eastward:

At Cape Horn--a flock of Evening grosbeaks.

At the park next to Beacon Rock, a Western tanager, Nashville warbler
and a probable Dusky flycatcher.

Lots of other usual good birds along the way and very busy sea lions
working the salmon at the dam. The gulls appeared to be pulled in tow
by the sea lion as they followed every move it made picking up any
scraps of salmon that fell into the water.
