Subject: [Tweeters] Ridgefield NWR May 1

I birded the River S Unit of Ridgefield NWR from about 3:00 until 6:20 today
and came across 55 species of birds, listed at the end of this email. Some
of the birds on the list were seen only in the entrance canyon. I missed
some easy species, but that was due to being distracted by all of the
calling (singing?) American Bitterns, Soras, and Virginia Rails. I did not
see the Black-necked Stilts that have been there for a few days, though they
were reported as having been seen on Rest Lake this morning. To see a video
from today of an American Bittern booming: http://vimeo.com/11390846
