FYI - the female King Eider was seen on both Ocean Shores field trips during the Grays Harbor Shorebird Festival. Both trips saw the Eider at the base of Damon Point in the old pilings there. My trip on Saturday had fantastic views of this bird plus a male Harlequin Duck at the same spot. The Eider was a life bird for many of participants.
