First of all thank you to all of the responses to my query re: Mountain
Quail earlier this week. They came from Oregon, Washington and
California. Bird Power!! Two specific offers to come visit and see
"their quail", both on Hood Canal. Saturday early I headed off to meet
Mary Hrudka and SUCCESS!! Two beautiful quail joined a number of other
birds on Mary's porch (scattered seed and millet works wonders). Joined
Mary in a birding tour of her neck of the woods and had both a
delightful visit and some excellent birding. Mary delights in helping
others find this elusive bird and is excellent company.
