Subject: [Tweeters] HELP NOW! Trapped hummingbird inside Lacey Fred Meyer
Date: May 2 14:26:25 2010
From: Valerie Elliott - VElliott at msn.com

I just returned from the Lacey Fred Meyer store. I observed a hummingbird flying along the skylights inside the store at the entrance to the Garden Center. I mentioned it to a male clerk, who stated it would get out like all the other birds. I stated that I wasn't sure of that and stressed that the bird needed to get out as soon as possible or it would starve. He said he'd take care of it as soon as he took care of his customer, which didn't seem to be anywhere in sight. Another shopper also saw the hummer as I pointed it out to the clerk. I complained to the Customer Service desk and said that I was hoping they were sincere about getting the hummer out. I mentioned that the hummer couldn't be taken care of like other birds. I also stated that I hoped Freddie's had more environmental concern than what I was subjected to by the male clerk.

So if any of you out there in tweeters can help rescue this hummingbird, please either go there (Fred Meyer at 700 Sleater-Kinney Road SE just off I-5) or call the store at 360-438-6450 with how to save the hummingbird. If nothing else call the store an inquire about the trapped hummingbird, so they realize there are people out there that care!

Would appreciate hearing from anyone who responds.

Thanks in advance,
