Hi Tweets,

Cool spring morning, 45 degrees Fahrenheit and partly cloudy skies, at West
Hylebos Wetlands or the Bog. A NASHVILLE WARBLER and pair of PURPLE FINCH
greeted me at the trailhead. There were 3 or 4 ORANGE CROWNED WARBLERS
singing in open wooded areas, Alder and Willow trees, along the trail.
Other warblers included BLACK-THROATED GRAY and YELLOW-RUMPED myrtle
variety. The two Black-throated Gray Warblers I saw were foraging in the
tops of 40 foot Alders, occasionally singing and responding to call note
pishes. Other birds to mention were hunting SHARP-SHINNED HAWK, single
PACIFIC-SLOPE FLYCATCHER and many WINTER WRENS singing. There?s a handsome
GADWALL couple at the lake at the end of the trail.

Good birding!
Shep
