Hi all,
This a.m. I was heading out at about 11:30, and as I was driving through a 'hood on the top of the hill, a BRIGHT yellow and black bird bounded across the street in front of my car. Fortunately no one was behind me, and I was able to stop and look. A Western Tanager with a lovely red-orange head perched in a fir tree and let me have a good look. This is the earliest I've seen one on Queen Anne. What a welcome sight that was!
