Hi Tweets,

Yesterday evening I took some time on my way home from work to stop by China
Lake Park and see what birds there were to be had. Things started off with
a male ANNA'S HUMMING BIRD right next to the parking lot. A little further
down the trail I spotted a large number of VIOLET-GREEN SWALLOWS flying over
the pond, with at least one NORTHERN ROUGH-WINGED SWALLOW thrown into the
mix. Near the back of the pond I walked right into a large group of
warblers. I counted at least 7 ORANGE CROWNED WARBLERS with 4 NASHVILLE
WARBLERS and 2 MACGILLIVRAY'S WARBLERS. There were certainly more but the
dense foliage prevented positive identification. There was also a group of
7 YELLOW-RUMPED WARBLERS. To top things off, on the walk back to my car I
had a great look at 2 FOY SWAINSON'S THRUSH.

Good Birding!
