Hi Tweeters,

Bill and I spent a few pleasant hours at the Montlake Fill this
morning. There were quite a few warblers in the grove of alders and poplars
to the southwest of the Center for Urban Horticulture (the trees with the
remnant of the swing set). Among the Yellow-rumped Warblers were two
Townsend's Warblers, one of which was singing. We also saw one Wilson's
Warbler, among several we heard at Surber Grove. Oddly, this morning we
heard no Common Yellowthroats or Orange-crowned Warblers, which we heard
last week. Other nice-to-see birds were several Cinnamon Teal. Two males
were having a slightly strident discussion about a nearby female. Vaux's
Swifts were in the air along with four species of swallows. We saw a
Red-tailed Hawk for the first time in probably two months.

It wasn't too cold, the wind wasn't blowing and the sun was even
