In regards to male Anna's hummingbirds' head color, here are a couple of pictures of the same male Anna's hummingbird that I took at the Montlake Fill a few weeks ago. I snapped off two photographs of the bird and the color/iridescence of the gorget were markedly different, looking black in one and bright pink in the other.
