Subject: [Tweeters] Interesting Hutton's Nest Site

This morning along the Chehalis Western Trail, I found a pair of Hutton's
Vireos constructing their nest in a most interesting site. They've anchored
the nest to a flimsy little fallen bigleaf maple twig. The twig rests in the
arms of a red osier dogwood that appears indifferent at letting it go in the
next storm. I thought it was worth noting--I've never seen a bird nest
attached to a detached branch before.
