Had the best get away from it all day in awhile.

Before I left the abundant visiting Evening Grosbeaks on Kent East Hill are still evident, and the neighbor was still hosting a Wilson s Warbler.

At the corner of Key Road and Wenzel Slough Road the largest group of Whimbrel I have seen before, abou 150 with one Marbled Godwit mixed in. They were feeding in a plowed field.

Bottle Beach was wonderful, I can t add anything more to what has been posted already.

Tons of Brown Pelicans still in Westport.

Tokeland, found two Surfbirds on riprap across from the crab cocktail place. Possble Glaucous Gull on a dock, white, big, bicolored bill but it had a smidge of pink at the tip. Red Knots at Graveyard Spit and calling Long-billed Curlew among other shorebirds.

Driving around to Raymond huge flocks of Brant (geese) as reported, many hundreds.

The ponds at South Bend had about 2 dozen breeding plumaged Red-necked Phalaropes.

The memorial bench for Patrick Sullivan choked me up as I was on his last trip to Bottle Beach, a well done tribute.
